Strengths I am proud of

resiliance + flexibility

I left my role as a lawyer in Perth, Western Australia to follow my partner to China with no experience with the country and minimal language skills. This was a huge personal and professional challenge where I had to build my networks from scratch.

Beginning a role as a consultant to an education business working on branding ended up, three years later, with me being asked to take the role of Chief Executive Officer and manage the closure of that same business. In this time I was negotiating agreements, recruiting and retaining staff during pandemic conditions. As well as dinner table stories for a lifetime I have tested and built my resilience to an exceptional level.

Over my professional career from beginning as a Legal Assistant, I have learnt and improved my professional communication.

I pride myself on my professional communication skills, whether it be presenting to staff or stakeholders, motivating staff with oral feedback, internal and external emails and performance management conversations.

I have broad experience with complex negotiations and champion principles of "assuming positive intent" and empathy to understand appropriate communication styles required in each situation.

As a professional I have often found myself in numerous situations where I may be the youngest or newest in the room, particularly in my recent roles.
